Graduation document: the Certificate of the NMV (Nederlandse Montessori Vereniging / Dutch Montessori Association): “Montessori Teacher in Infancy and Primary Education; Age 0-6”. Certificate is awarded as per the Requirements for Certification of the NMV in Cooperation with VIVID Onderwijs

Course Certification: TEP 0-6 course is certified with the NMV. In 1917 the NMV was founded and in 1929 the AMI was founded. The NMV has the office in Hague and the AMI in Amsterdam. In 2016, nearly 100 years later the NMV has in total 544 Institutes as members with 56.373 Students from 0-18 years. To that there are 6 Colleges / High schools where teacher trainers are located and give the Montessori teacher trainings

Drs. Elisabeth C.J. Mattijssen is a Master in Pedagogy, Trainer of Montessori Teachers and she is registered in Health Care Netherlands as psychologist. She has a Private Company for psychological assessment: Praktijk voor Psychodiagnostiek and she is a partner of VIVID Onderwijs. From 1963 to 1969 she worked as a Montessori teacher with children from 4 to 12 years. From 1969 to 2006 she worked as a professor and Montessori teacher trainer at the Hogeschool Leiden. Next to this she wrote many articles for the Dutch Montessori magazine about child development and she developed 2 child monitoring systems (for regular and Montessori schools). She coaches school development for 20 years in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Russia, China, Lebanon and Germany. She participates now in project development in the Netherlands: “A new approach to mathematics in Montessori education”. She consults regular and Montessori schools in several subjects, like coaching, management, didactics and methodology. She is a board member of the NMV (the Dutch Montessori Association).

Drs. Ward van de Vijver is a master in Pedagogy and Trainer of Montessori Teachers. After a career as teacher, headmaster, coach and consultant in the inner cities of The Hague and Rotterdam, he educated teachers at the Hogeschool Rotterdam. He trained school staffs and directors. His company VIVID Onderwijs is specialized in innovation of education for inner city schools and school development. The work for school development was rewarded with a national prize (Mommers-prijs). He used and constructed evidence based and data driven methods in school development during about 20 years in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Russia, China, Lebanon and Germany. He is interested in evidence based principles of Montessori education and Observation and brought them into the Training: Montessori education in the 21st century. He published works about school development, orthography, arithmetic and motivation. He consults schools about management, reading, language and arithmetic. 

Vanessa Fichtl is a Montessori Teacher with AMI Diploma 0-3 in 2009 issued by The Montessori Institute Denver, USA. Vanessa started to work in Montessori schools in 2007. She is a trained Pedagogue and Event Manager. In 2013, Vanessa opened her own Montessori Children’s House in Dortmund, Germany. Her wish to actively promote the Montessori Pedagogy for children under three years of age, while making it more accessible in Germany, helped her along the path to founding the Montessori Institute Dortmund, which is an AMI-Certified Training Center. Vanessa regularly attends and speaks on conferences, workshops and trainings about the Montessori Pedagogy, including Pediatrics and Neurological Research. She is also an ambassador for the Montessori Pedagogy in Business schools and Universities in Germany.

Sorokina Ekaterina Nikolaevna (Russia) – PhD, Head of the Early Age Dept. in the International Institute of Montessori Pedagogy, Head of family club “Montiki” (Nizhniy Novgorod), trainer-psychologist of the highest category, Montessori teacher since 1998. Author of projects on working with parents: “Family” (2004-2006), “Family Hearth” (2006-2010) and “Intuitive Motherhood” (since 2012). Author of many articles in various Russian magazines, including the “Montessori club.”

Evgeniya Aradzhi (Kazakhstan) – Montessori teacher, co-founder of the Group of Psychoanalysis Development in Kazakhstan (group registered in the IAAP), start manager of 3 Montessori centers in Kazakhstan. Participated in many trainings, including: Course of Interregional Montessori Association on Montessori method (trainer Smirnova), On-line Montessori course 3-6 (NAMC); course on improving efficiency of Montessori centers (trainer Igrushkina), the Montessori 21st Century (trainer Mattijssen), Montessori method (trainer Maunz).

Mary Ellen Maunz (USA) – trainer, Montessori teacher with 40 years experience. She studied the mentorship of Dr. Elisabeth Caspari, a personal friend and follower of Maria Montessori. Founder of World Wide Montessori, a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Accreditation Commission MACTE (Accreditation Board for Montessori Education for Teachers) for 10 years. She was Vice-President of the International Association of Montessori educators for 3 years. Author of the book “Learning to read is child’s play”. Conducted lectures in the USA, Mexico, South America, Asia, Russia and now in Ukraine.
